Teeth Whitening with Diode Laser

Types of stains:

  • external stains (superficial stains): caused by coffee, tea, smoking, wine and herbs;
  • internal stains (deep stains): caused by the use of antibiotics (tetracycline) in young age, side effects of incorrect root canal treatments.

External or superficial stains can be removed with traditional methods, but internal or deep stains can be efficiently removed only with the use of Diode Laser.

Steps of the Diode Laser Teeth Whitening treatment:

  • professional cleaning (session of professional hygiene);
  • stains type diagnosis;
  • gum protection;
  • application of the bleaching gel;
  • shining with the laser light;
  • leaving the material for 15-30 minutes;
  • removing the applied material

The treatment is complete several days after the session, and at this point we can control the result.

To make the whitening results last longer it is best to avoid bad oral hygiene, colouring food or beverages (coffee, smoking and wine).

Contraindications to all teeth-whitening methods (professional and over-the-counter ones):

  • severe systemic disease;
  • pregnancy / lactation;
  • allergy to components of the whitening material;
  • severely destroyed teeth;
  • periodontal diseases and hypersensitive teeth

Treatment with Diode Laser is painless, it is possible that patient feels a light heat sensation as the laser beam passes the teeth surface.
